How am I different from other Chiropractors in Vancouver?

It’s pretty incredible how much a well-adjusted spine can affect your posture and overall well being.  Your spine is known as the “highway of your nervous system and brain” and it controls all of your body’s condition.  Simply by keeping it aligned and healthy helps you function at your very best.

I personally think that the most important factor for the fastest recovery and optimal results is a sound education.  That is why my initial visits are different than what may be the norm for chiropractors in Vancouver.  I like to spend around up to an hour with my patient during their first consultation to take time to discuss the conditions the patients are experiencing and understand their lifestyle and explain to them their options for treatment after performing a physical examination.

I put a lot of emphasis on patient posture and rehabilitation/strengthening exercises to restore and promote optimal functions to the body.  That being said, I have never been afraid to refer my patients to other practitioners or to their family medical doctor for second opinions and/or x-rays.  My fundamental belief is that the most advantageous treatment plan is a three part program: the spinal realignment, the muscular and the rehabilitation/strengthen part.  While Chiropractic treatment focuses on the spinal realignment part of the program, other practitioners best treat the muscular/strengthening component.  That is why I have brought on four fantastic Registered Massage Therapists and an excellent Acupuncturist as additional services if preferred.

As much as I enjoy having my patients recover (especially from symptoms they claim to be ‘incurable’ by other practitioners), my favourite part of being a Chiropractor has been getting to know my patients as individuals – being able to be a part of their lives, witnessing as they go through some of life’s biggest milestones, and watching their children and family grow.  Every patient is a person to me and I have been fortunate to have gained some great friends throughout my career.
